IRTrans LAN Controller

The IRTrans Translator allows to control devices with different remote controls: To achieve that received IR codes are translated to different IR codes to be sent. This translation can be programmed freely by the user. That is because the drivers are only extracted during setup and not installed. So right click on the 'IRTrans USB GmbH' device and select update driver. Choose to manually install the driver and browse to the IRTrans folder located in.: Program Files. Let setup search the IRTrans folder and it will find a USB driver and install it. IRTrans LAN DB - the first HTML Remote Control. The IRTrans LAN Devices with the HW version 3.5 can be completely controlled via http/HTML. There is no SW on the PC needed to administer the devices, program them or learn IR Codes. Infrared <–> IP Gateway:All Ethernet based IRTrans Modules can be used as an IR <–> IP Gateway. This allows to transfer IR Commands via all kinds of IP based networks. Of course that can be done without any additional systems or software.
IR Database: The LAN Controller has an integrated 128K IR Database for about 1000-1500 commands. The database can be filled with a selection of IR Commands using the PC software. These commands can then be sent using simple TCP or UDP commands.
New: Real Time Clock + Timer: The modules include a NTP based real-time clock. With this clock 4 timers can be used to send IR codes at a user defined schedule. It is even possible to send IR Codes repeatedly at specific times. IR codes can e.g. be sent every morning or evening at a specific time. To use this function a NTP server must be reachable in the local network or internet.
Translator. The IR Database can also be used to translate IR Codes.
Switching power supply Allowing a wide supply voltage of 8-16V DC.
2 IR Receiver. 2nd IR Receiver to receive 455 kHz Codes (e.g. B&O ™)
Serial Bus. The serial Bus includes drivers, protection diodes for the Microcontroller and a 8 pin Mini DIN connector. The Bus has only a ground and a Data line. The protocol of the serial bus including clock and collision detection is coded in the firmware of the Microcontroller.
It can be used with baudrates off 4,800, 9,600, 19,200 and 38,400 Baud. Depending on the conditions the length can be up to 50 - 80m. Only digital data is transmitted on the serial bus - that makes it very noise insensitive.
Each module has got an unique address and can be addressed indipendently.
4 IR Outputs . 4 Outputs for external IR LEDs (3,5mm plug). Each output can be controlled individually. This allows to control up to 4 similar devices from the same vendor.
4 Relay Outputs / Analog Inputs. 4 Switch outputs with integrated low power reed relays. The relays can be controlled either via software or IR. Different modes (Toggle, On, Off, Pulse). Each of this outputs can also be used as an analog input.
Wake On LAN: With the Wake On LAN function a PC connected to the network can be woken up using a selectable IR Code. Of course that will only work with a PC and OS that supports Wake On LAN.
Firmware. All modules have got an integrated bootloader. This Bootloader allows later upgrades of the firmware of the modules using a small programm. When there are upgrades or bug fixes the firmware can be upgraded by the customer within a few minutes. Of course the LAN and the IR Firmware are user upgradeable
IP Functions The TCP/IP stack supports all important services.

- Sending and Receiving of IR commands via TCP or UDP
- New: Send IR Codes via UDP ASCII String (only with IRDB)
Software. The IRTrans Ethernet is supported by the IRTrans Windows / LINUX Software and by the iRed Software on the Mac.
Assembly. The IRTrans are entirely build using modern SMD technology. This assures reliable operation and a very small footprint.
Certification. All IRTrans Modules are certified according to CE and FCC regulations and can be used worldwide.

i recently reinstalled my pc. I have Zalman 160 case
I downloaded the latest setup.exe from your site. I install the driver and selecte the right options it downloads the Visuall C++
stuff.

Then it tells me to reboot.

However after reboot my remote does not work and that there is a device without driver installed ( IRTrans USB serial device )

In the USB section there is a IRTrans Hub correctly installed.. Is there somethign wrong with the new installation file ?
I have pointed Vista to the IR Trans directory and says there is no devie driver for the Serial USB IRtrans device.
